VP Development & Support
provide technical support for current and prospective Database-Guys customers.
Role: As the
first line of customer technical support, support technicians are responsible
for ensuring that Database-Guys products and services not only meet but exceed customer
- Provide technical
support for current and prospective customers by:
- Resolving customer
technical support issues
with Sales team to cover client needs including walkthroughs/sales
in performance audits/technical site visits as needed/scheduled
- Create customer
preference by investigating support-related problems and developing
solutions that deliver breakthrough results and exceed customer expectations
- Assist product
development team by developing InstallShield packaging, fixing product
bugs, testing new products and installs and other development tasks
- Provide historical
contact records by updating customer database on a regular basis.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on
pricing, products, new products, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Reinforce Database-Guys
core values with customers and associates.
- Contribute to
team effort by accomplishing team-related results as needed.
- DB2 UDB certified
- Excellent communication
skills, both verbal and written
- UNIX/Korn shell
- C programming knowledge
- Understands Web
servers and HTML
- InstallShield experience
is a plus
- Enjoys troubleshooting
and customer interaction
- Knowledge of Java,
Java Servlets and XML is a plus
- References and
employment history must be provided
- Moderate travel
- Exempt position
