Scott Hayes is CEO and founder of Database-Guys (formerly Database-GUYS Inc.), a DB2 UDB EE & EEE performance tools company for AIX, Sun Solaris, HP/UX, and Linux operating system platforms.

Scott is an IBM DB2 Certified Advanced Technical Expert, an IBM DB2 GOLD Consultant, and a lecturer for the DB2 Symposium.

He has worked with DB2 OS/390 since V1.3 and DB2 AIX since V1, and his diverse experiences have taught him a number of DB2 UDB best practices.

Scott is a frequent speaker at IDUG® Conferences, IBM DB2 Technical Conferences, and is frequently sought as a guest speaker for regional DB2 user group meetings. He has published a number of articles in DB2 Magazine, IDUG Solutions Journal, and the YL&A DB2 Performance Journal.

Through his teachings and the Database-Guys performance management tools (Wise-GUY, Space-GUY, Pool-GUY, SQL-GUY, Connection-MINER, EEE-GUY, Flight Deck, and Palm-GUY), many DB2 UDB users around the world are achieving breakthrough DB2 UDB performance.
